The best meal I have ever had was at Baru 66. David has brought his expertise in fine French food to Des Moines and has been a key part of the recent culinary boom. His dishes are always balanced even when inventive. He prides himself on delivering great food time after time. His abilities have been recognized nationally, from a James Beard Foundation Best Chef: Midwest, Semi-Finalist 2013 to a Best Chefs America. Over the last few years, David has exposed me to many new flavors from goat, antelope, head cheese, pâté, among many others.
